Mumbai Indians are getting ready to host Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede stadium on 8 April 2023. Fans are eagerly waiting to see these two powerhouses of the tournament in action with each other in IPL 2023. Now, ahead of the match, Ishan Kishan was seen having a chat with MS Dhoni and that image has now gone viral.

Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform. Both Ishan Kishan and MS Dhoni are from Bihar. In addition, Ishan has always idolised the CSK skipper throughout his career. But, Ishan Kishan had a poor start to the tournament as he scored only  10 runs in the season opener against RCB.

So, he will look to score big in this upcoming match against Chennai. In the last season, he scored 418 runs in 14 matches, at an average of 32.15. Speaking of the form of these two teams, MI lost the season opener against RCB while CSK have won and lost one game each so far. In the last match, CSK defeated LSG at their home ground. But, MS Dhoni seemed to be not so happy with the performance of his bowlers in that match while speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony.

MS Dhoni said: “It’s the fast bowling that needs to improve. Maybe they need to bowl according to the conditions. Even if it’s on the flatter side, have fielders and bowl into the areas where you’re pushing the batters to hit over the fielders. It’s important to keep an eye, especially when we’re batting, about what the opposition bowlers are doing, so it gives you an idea about what can be done. ‘What can be my plan, according to the strength I have or the pace I have.’ I feel that’s important. They’ll have to bowl no no-balls and less wides. We’re bowling too many extra deliveries. Or they’ll have to be ready to play under a new captain at some point of time, you know, it’ll be my second warning and I’ll be off”.
