1) Mitchell Starc:

It's an absolute pity that a world-class bowler like Mitchell Starc won't be participating in the Indian T20 league yet again. The last time he was seen playing the toughest 20 was back in 2015. However, he recently justified his decision by citing the need to rest his body for the international assignments. The pacer also specified that he wanted to spend more time with his family, and wasn't comfortable being in another bio-bubble.

2) Jofra Archer:

Jofra Archer is unarguably one of the best T20 bowlers in the world right now. As a matter of fact, in 2020, he went on to win the "MVP" award of the season. As every team would want a bowling all-rounder like him, he would have definitely made a fortune during the upcoming mega auction. However, his injuries have forced him to miss yet another season.

3) Ben Stokes:

Ben Stokes is arguably one of the biggest match-winners of this era. Batting, bowling, fielding, the English all-rounder can do almost anything. The MVP of the 2017 edition would have certainly been on the wish-list of several franchises. However, him not featuring in this edition of the Indian T20 league means that the teams targeting him will now have to put their contingency plans into action.

4) Sam Curran:

Sam Curran is a player who can "make things happen". It is safe to call him an X factor. He was absolutely sensational for the Chennai during his stint with them. Besides, several teams would have loved to have an explosive all-rounder like him. Moreover, with his age on his side, many teams would want to invest in a player like him as well.

5) Chris Gayle:

The Universe Boss needs to introduction. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that he is one of the greatest players in the history of the league. Despite not having age on his side, Gayle would have been a good pick as he can still hit the ball a long way. Besides, his experience would have come in handy.
