Fitness is an important part of a player's life. If they want to keep playing the game in the long run. A lot of players maintain their fitness and manage to play for a long time. There is a long list of players who have managed to maintain their fitness and play for a long period. On the other hand, there is a list of players who have been injury prone.

These players are immensely talented and have the ability to play for India for a long-time thanks to their performance. However, repeated injuries have kept them out of the game. Fans can only wonder what these players might have achieved if not for the multiple injuries they have suffered.   1. Rohit Sharma

The Mumbaikar is one of the greatest players of the modern era. Since he started opening the batting for his country in white-ball cricket in 2013, he has risen to another level.

However, in the last couple of years, he has missed quite a few games. In early 2020, he missed the ODI and Test series against New Zealand. The same year, he missed a lot of games on the Australia tour. Not to forget, the right-hander missed the tour of South Africa.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

There was a time when the 2013 Champions Trophy winner was an integral part of the team. After all, he has the ability to swing the ball both ways with an upright seam position.

However, since 2018, he has been in and out of the team due to injuries. Recently, he made a comeback from injuries and the fans will be hoping for him to remain fit throughout.

3. KL Rahul

The vice-captain of the Indian team across all forms of the game was one of the fittest going around up until last year. In the last one year or so, he has battled with injuries. Early last year, he was ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 due to a wrist injury.

Later in the year, a thigh injury ruled him out of New Zealand. Recently, he was ruled out of the South Africa and England series due to a groin injury.

4. Hardik Pandya

From making his international debut in 2016 to getting injured in 2018, Pandya was playing all formats for India. During the Asia Cup game against Pakistan in 2018, he fell on his back while bowling and got badly injured.

He recovered in a few months and started playing. However, after his injury flared again in 2019 and went through a surgery. In late 2020, he made his comeback to the game, but was out of action due to injuries again. Recently, he has returned to the national team with full fitness and the fans will be hoping for the things to remain the same.

5. Ishant Sharma

In the initial phase of his career, he used to clock 140 and 150 kmph very easily. However, multiple injuries prevented him playing a lot of games and eventually led to a reduction in pace.

Since 2016, he was one of the premier bowlers for India in Tests. However, in a couple of years, he has started getting injured once again which is why he is currently out of favour in the national team.
