But for that to happen, they will have to build a team capable of winning them the championship. Here is a list of players that Bangalore can look to buy in the mega auction.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is a player who is in huge demand ahead of the auction. Many teams will target him in the auction. He brings in a good player in the middle-order and also is a great captaincy prospect. Bangalore can largely benefit from him, especially if Virat bats as an opener.

With Virat Kohli stepping down as the captain, Iyer can fill in those shoes. He will have the guidance of Virat throughout, which will him grow as a player.

Devdutt Padikkal

Younger players are in huge demand in the IPL, and if it's an Indian, even more. The left-hander has been a good find for the team in the last two seasons. He has been among their top run-scorers in both seasons.

Bangalore can look to buy him back as he has played good cricket for them. He can bat at the top and they will have to look for another player along with him if Virat bats at number three.

Jason Holder is another captaincy option that Bangalore can look for. He is a good thinker of the game and can provide the team with a fresh outlook towards the game. He can complement Virat Kohli well, as he will have a big role in the leadership group.
