According to the reports in News18, Bumrah might make a comeback in the Ireland T20 series that will take place from August 18 onwards. Followed by these three matches, all focus will be shifted to the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup. So, hearing such reports, fans shared their views on social media.

“If everything stays on course, a Bumrah at peak fitness is likely to take field.” - An official

According to News18, a source said that the addition of Bumrah will be a big boost to the team. He said: “Jasprit Bumrah is looking very good for the Ireland series in August this year. It will be a big boost to the Indian cricket team and will also allow Bumrah time in the middle after the long injury lay-off. If everything stays on course, a Bumrah at peak fitness is likely to take field.”

“Nitin Patel and Rajnikanth have been working very closely with Bumrah and keeping him on track during the rehab period at the NCA. Both are very experienced and don’t want to take any chance with Bumrah in what is a very crucial white-ball year and also the start of the new World Test Championship cycle,” he further added.

He last played for India in September 2022. Due to his back injury, Bumrah missed the Asia Cup 2022 and the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Recently, he missed both the IPL and WTC final in 2023. So, if he finally manages to make a comeback, then it will be a huge boost for Rohit Sharma and his men as the ODI World Cup is all set to happen in India later this year.
