India and West Indies locked horns in the second of the five-match T20I series. The match started late 3 hours later due to the delay in the arrival of the luggage of both the teams. The hosts’ skipper won the toss and invited the visitors’ team to bat first.
India could only manage to post a total of 139 runs for the loss of all the wickets. Later on, the West Indies chased down the target in the last over of the match and won the match by five wickets. The 25-year-old Caribbean pacer Obed McCoy was adjudged player of the match for this excellent bowling heroics.
The Indian cricket fans have also expressed their disappointment on Twitter after the team's defeat in the second T20I against West Indies.
Obed McCoy bundled India with his amazing stunning bowling performance
The visitors had a very unexpected start, skipper Rohit Sharma fell prey to McCoy on the very first ball of the match. Later on, India kept losing their wickets at regular intervals. There was a moment when the men in blue had lost five wickets after scoring 104 runs.
But Obed McCoy completely destroyed the Indian batting order and they lost their next five wickets only within 35 runs. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was the highest run scorer for the visitors’ camp as he scored 31 runs. Other than him, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja also played knocks of 24 and 27 runs respectively. The bowling attack of West Indies bundled up the Indian team on 139 runs.
Obed McCoy stunned everyone with amazing bowling, he went on to scalp six wickets by conceding only 17 runs in four overs with one maiden over to his name.
While chasing the target, the opening pair of Kyle Mayers and Brandon King provided a strong start to the Caribbean side. They both made a partnership of 46 runs for the first wicket. Brandon King played a brilliant knock of 68 runs off 52 balls with eight boundaries and two sixes. Other than him, he was wicketkeeper-batter Devon Thomas who played a crucial knock of 31 runs off 19 balls.
Here's how Twitter reacted to India’s defeat:
Experiments can be done but not at the cost of team India’s win , anyday winning is more important than pathetic experiments ,

Anyday avesh khan is a run machine, no need of experiments, it’s a well known fact #IndvsWI #WIvsIND #IN

Shreyas iyer >>>>>>>Rishabh pant.
So if you want hooda in your team the player to go out is OBVIOUSLY i mean OBVIOUSLY Rishabh pant. But look at the analysis these days. All u can do is laugh#IndvsWI#WIvsIND #RishabhPant #ShreyasIyer #RohitSharma
#WIvsIND Forget Avesh Khan vs Bhubi for a moment. Avesh Khan was included in the team despite the fact that Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets in the last match. A performing player was benched by vada pao. Is @ImRo45 playing secularism(sickularism in fact) game in team selection?
