Once the ODIs finish, the two sides will meet again in a three-match T20I series. The games will take place in Cardiff, Manchester, and Nottingham. Harry Brook will be in charge of England, while Aiden Markram will lead South Africa. The visitors will aim to maintain their winning momentum from the ODIs into the shorter format.

Looking at past T20Is in England between the two teams, the record is close. Out of 10 games, England have won four, South Africa have won five, while one match had no result. The Proteas will try to strengthen their record, while England will hope to fight back strongly at home.

England’s most recent T20I series was in June at home against West Indies, which they won 3-0. South Africa, however, lost their last T20I series 1-2 in Australia in August. Now, they will look to be back in the winning ways in England in T20Is. 

England have made some changes to their squad. All-rounder Sam Curran has been called up, while star batter Ben Duckett has been given rest. Along with Curran, names like Phil Salt, Liam Dawson, Tom Banton, and Rehan Ahmed will have a key role to play.

For South Africa, this series brings a great chance for youngsters such as Dewald Brevis, Kwena Maphaka, and Lhuan-Dre Pretorius to showcase their talent.
