England are likely to receive a massive boost going into the fourth Test as pacers Mark Wood and Chris Woakes may be available for selection for the Oval Test. As per a report in Daily Mail, both players are fit and available for selection. Wood was ruled out of the third Test after picking up a shoulder injury while Woakes was struggling with a heel injury and hasn’t played since August last year.

The report further states that Dan Lawrence is all set to make a comeback to the England squad. The 24-year-old was earlier released from the squad to play for Essex in the County Championship. Lawrence is likely to play in place of Jos Buttler, who is set to miss the match due to the birth of his second child, ahead of Ollie Pope.

"It is understood England are lining up Jonny Bairstow to keep wicket for the fourth Test starting at The Oval on Thursday, with Dan Lawrence, who has been released to play the first two days of Essex’s County Championship game at Glamorgan, set to come in ahead of Ollie Pope," the report stated.

England will be high on confidence after a massive win in the third Test. The hosts put India into shambles with an inning and 76 runs deafeat. If Wood and Woakes are available for selection, it will be a massive plus for England as both are quality bowlers and add a lot of batting depth to the side as well. Meanwhile, India too are likely to make some changes and bring in Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin in place of Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja respectively.
