The cricket in the ongoing summer in the UK is in full flow. The Domestic One-Day Cup, comprising a staggering 18 county teams, is set to be played from August 5. The tournament will be played in parallel with The Hundred and often gets overshadowed with the new format, attracting all the national players alongside some international stars as well.

However, this provides a good opportunity to the players from the second XI to make a mark in the One-Day Cup and get the attention of the fans and the selectors. As far as the tournament is concerned, a total of 77 One-Day matches will be played from August 5 with the final scheduled on September 20 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

The 18 teams are divided into two groups of nine each. Group A consists of Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Hampshire, Essex, Gloucestershire, Glamorgan and Surrey. Group B comprises teams like Warwickshire, Somerset, Middlesex, Sussex, Kent, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Northamptonshire Durham.

Glamorgan are the defending champions, having lifted the trophy during the last summer. They will be keen on repeating their heroics this year as well. Meanwhile, a total of 72 matches will take place in the league stage where each team will lock horns with the other in the same group.

At the end of 72 matches, the top team from each group will qualify for semi-finals while the second and third placed teams from the two groups will lock horns in the quarter-finals. The knockouts are scheduled to take place on August 28 and 31.

Where to watch England Domestic One-Day Cup live in India?

Much to the disappointment of fans in India, it remains unclear whether the domestic One-Day Cup matches will be telecast live. The rights of cricket in England are with Sony Sports Network, but they have not yet made it clear if they will telecast any of the matches live on their channels. At the same time, the same isn’t confirmed about their live streaming as well. Sony LIV is likely to stream the matches but there is no confirmation.
