Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy then batted patiently, adding 72 runs for the sixth wicket. Nitish scored 30 before getting out. After that, Washington Sundar joined Jadeja, and the two added another 50 runs.

Jadeja was eventually dismissed for 72, with India at 376/7—just 11 runs behind England's first-innings score of 387. With three wickets in hand, India were expected to take the lead. But England struck back sharply, taking the last three wickets for just 11 runs. India were bowled out for exactly 387, tying the scores.

With no first-innings lead for either side, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened England’s second innings. They played just one over before stumps. However, that single over was packed with tension.

There was a visible exchange between Crawley and Indian players, as it seemed the England batter was deliberately taking time to ensure only one over was bowled before stumps. This led to some heated moments between both sides.
