The Emirates D10 tournament kicked off with Dubai Pulse Secure taking on ECB Blues in the 1st game. The Blues were too hot to handle for Dubai and cruised to a victory by 9 wickets. Batting first, Dubai posted a solid 120-2 on the board in their quota of 10 overs. Fahad Nawaz and Ronak Pandey were the top performers for Dubai and scored 66 off 34 and 31 off 14 balls respectively. The target was a stiff one but the ECB blues chased it without breaking a sweat. Mohammad Boota and CP Rizwan added 72 runs for the 1st wicket. Rizwan was dismissed for 40. Laxman Manjrekar joined Boota in the middle and played a whirldwindling knock of 39 off 14 balls to win the game for his team. Boota remained not out on 39.

In the next game, Sharjah Bukhatir XI defeated Fujairah Pacific Ventures by 9 runs. Put in to bat, Sharjah could only manage 101 in their 10 overs. Regular wickets at the start didn’t allow the batsmen to play freely. At one point, reaching the three figure mark looked difficult but a quickfire knock from Fayyaz Ahmed (35 off 19) took them past 100. While the total looked just below par, their bowlers were on the money and didn’t allow the Fujairian batsmen to get away, restricting them to 92 for 6.

The final game of the day was played between ECB Blues and Ajman Alubond. Once again, it was ECB Blues who decimated their opposition, cruising to a victory by 10 wickets. Ajman had no answers to the Blues' bowling and could only manage 86/7 in their 10 overs. Ameer Hamza was the only batsmen who stood tall for Ajman and scored 33 off 19 balls. The target wasn’t going to trouble the in form Blues as they knocked off the runs in just 7.4 overs. Boota played a blistering knock of 71 runs off 31 balls.
