Emirates D 10 League - Day 10 - Round Up

The first game of Day 10 of the Emirates D10 League saw ECB Blues blown away in the storm of Waseem Muhammad. The destructive opener smashed a brutal 88 off 34 balls, including 9 fours and 6 maximums, helping Fujairah Pacific Ventures post a solid 135/7 in their allotted 10 overs. In the second game of the day, Dubai Pulse Secure defeated Ajman Alubond by 35 runs. Dubai, on the back of a 108 run opening stand between Shahrukh Sheikh and Ronak Panoly posted a mammoth 131/2 in their quota of 10 overs. Both Shahrukh and Ronak fetched themselves brilliant half-centuries. Shahrukh was dismissed for a 25 ball 50 while Ronak remained unbeaten on 56 off 28 balls. Bilal Cheema ended the innings on a high with a 7 ball 17.

Considering Ajman Alubond’s form, the target looked beyond their reach even before the start. Ajman got off to a decent start with Asif Khan (24 off 9) going all guns blazing. Abdul Shakoor(33 off 22) too played some fine shots. However, despite their efforts, Ajman could only post 96/7 in 10 overs, losing the match by 35 runs. Once again, it was the middle order that offered no support to their openers.

In the final game, Sharjah Bukhatir XI defeated Abu Dhabi by 7 wickets. The bowling from Sharjah was spot on as they bowled great lines and didn't allow the Abu Dhabi batsmen to get off their hook. As a result, Abu Dhabi could only score 86-6 in their 10 overs with Abdul Malik top-scoring with a 12 ball 25. The target wasn’t big and Sharjah cruised to victory without breaking a sweat, with 7 wickets and 9 balls to spare. After shining with the ball, Kashif Daud showed great skills with the bat as well and top-scored for Sharjah with a 14 ball 37.
