'Elon musk, please buy swiggy so they can deliver on time'- Shubman Gill's tweet receives befitting reply from Swiggy's parody account

The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, has been making headlines since he bought the microblogging site, Twitter, for $44billion. The netizens were left shocked after he made that decision.

If that wasn’t enough, Elon Musk later tweeted that he is planning to buy Coca-Cola company next to add cocaine back in. Well, we are quite sure that he is joking this time around.

Following Twitter’s acquisition deal with Elon Musk, the social media users have been asking Musk to buy some of the other companies which they seemed to have problems with. Indian cricketer, Shubman Gill is the latest to join the bandwagon. He recently took to Twitter and asked Elon Musk to take over the food delivery company Swiggy.

‘Elon musk, please buy swiggy so they can deliver on time’, he wrote in his Tweet.

His tweet didn’t take a lot of time to get viral. At the time of writing, his post received over 50k likes and over 3000 retweets. His tweets received a lot of reactions and netizens were quick to complain about their issues regarding the food delivery app on the comment section.

"One delivery guy being assigned two orders and it always takes more than an hour to deliver," a user named Kundan Singh said. "But I found a solution now, cook myself and uninstalled your app long back." one user wrote.

Another person complained that Swiggy's service was deteriorating by the day.

"Every order takes more than 1 hour to reach. Also the customer service executive do not provided any solution or compensation for the same. In spite of purchasing the membership still deliveries are late," he added.

Later, a parody account of ‘Swiggy’ came up with a reply, which offended Gill’s fans.

Replying to Gill’s Tweet, the fake account of Swiggy wrote,

“We are still faster than your batting in T20 cricket”,

The fans didn’t like the response. However, later did they realize that it wasn’t Swiggy’s official account.

Shubman Gill is currently playing for Gujarat in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League. In 9 matches, he has managed to score 260 runs at an average of 28.89.
