However, Prithvi Shaw had a disappointing start to the Indian T20 League 2023 as he scored just 12 runs off nine balls. On the other hand, Arjun Tendulkar has been a part of the Mumbai franchise since 2021. But, still, he has not played a single game. However, some reports are there that he might make his debut this season as star players like Jasprit Bumrah, and Jhye Richardson had been ruled out already due to injuries.

Recently, Prithvi Shaw finally managed to make a comeback into the team India squad for the home T20I series against New Zealand. But, he failed to play any of the three games. However, regarding his comeback, while speaking to News24 Sports, Prithvi Shaw said: “I felt really nice coming back into the T20I squad, to meet the players and train with them. I enjoyed that bit. Yes I did not get an opportunity but was given the chance of making a comeback, that mattered. It all depended on them, when to play when not to, but I respected that because probably they wanted to give the person before me a bit longer run. But again, I don't regret that. I will keep on looking for opportunities because I have a list of goals I want to achieve with the Indian team”.
