Team India registered a series victory over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a 2-1 margin. It was their fourth consecutive BGT victory. However, before the series, their qualification for the final of the World Test Championship was hanging. India had to avoid a series loss under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma while Sri Lanka needed to lose atleast one match out of two Tests against New Zealand.

However, on 13 March, the Kiwis defeated the Lankans by two wickets in the first match. On the other hand, India managed a draw in Ahmedabad. As a result, India qualified for the final of WTC and now, they will take on the Aussies in the final. After this result, fans were happy with the performance of Rohit Sharma and his men.

Now, a Rohit Sharma fan came up and shared a tweet in order to defame Virat Kohli. He claimed that Rohit is a better skipper than Kohli as he has taken team India to the WTC final within one year of captaincy. While Kohli took nine years to take team India to the WTC final in the previous edition. The tweet reads: “Captain Duration WTC Final Virat 9 Years 1 Rohit 1 Year 1India played WTC final only 1 time in Virat's 9 year captaincy where Rohit got India qualified in WTC final in 1 year captaincy GOAT Captain @ImRo45”.

But, seeing that tweet, other fans went crazy and slammed him on the social media platform. It was obvious that Virat Kohli was able to take the team to WTC final only once as it was the first edition of the tournament. India have shown a great performance in both the WTC cycle as they qualified for the final of both editions. However, they lost the final in the last edition against the Kiwis.
