Dhoni is a ‘master’, we have huge respect for CSK: Simon Katich

Both RCB and CSK have turned out to be the best performers of the IPL 2021

Ahead of their epic clash with Chennai Super Kings, RCB head coach Simon Katich heaped praise on MS Dhoni, terming him as the master of the game.

MS Dhoni’s batting might not be the same it used to be but he is a genius when it comes to leading the side. He has led CSK to three wins in four games in the current season. In a clip released by RCB, Katich said that they have the utmost respect for their next opponents.

“Dhoni is a master, isn’t he? They are sitting at the top with three wins, they have had a fantastic start, they have fantastic players, we have a huge amount of respect for CSK, it is going to be great game, we have seen some great games in Mumbai already. CSK has a very damaging batting lineup but we know our bowling lineup has performed well this season,” Katich said.

Just like CSK, RCB too have had a scintillating start to the season and have won four games on the trot. They are the only team that are yet to taste a defeat in the competition. RCB seems to have hit their peak thus they’ll go in the game with a great deal of confidence.

For CSK, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis decimated KKR bowlers in their last game and are looking in fine touch. Talking about the duo, RCB’s Kane Richardson said that they will have to come up with a solid plan to stop them.

Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad are in form, and they are batting well, so we will come up with some plans to stop them. They have experience throughout their team. They have won a lot of IPLs, so it is going to be a really good game,” Richardson said.

CSK have a fantastic record against RCB in the IPL, winning 17 of their 26 games. Last season, both teams fetched a victory each
