Team India will play a three-match ODI series against Australia at home after the completion of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. On 19 February 2023, the Indian Cricket Board announced the squad for that series. However, both Yuzvendra Chahal and Umran Malik are a part of that squad.

Currently, they are in Bengaluru sweating hard at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Both of them have become an important part of the Men in Blue in the white-ball format. They played in the last home T20I and ODI series against the Kiwis. Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets in the ODI series while grabbing just one wicket in the T20I series. 

Yuzvendra Chahal and Umran Malik have always come up with good performances in recent series  

On the other hand, Umran grabbed two wickets in the T20I series while grabbing just one wicket in the ODI series. So, fans will hope for another good performance from these players in this upcoming series against the Aussies. Now, recently, Chahal shared an Instagram story where he was seen having dinner with the young pacer, Umran Malik. The leg spinner wrote: ‘dinner date’ while tagging the cricketer. Seeing that viral story, fans went crazy and shared some funny tweets along with memes on the social media platform.

India’s squad for the ODI series against Australia: Rohit Sharma (C), S Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (VC), R Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, W Sundar, Y Chahal, Mohd Shami, Mohd Siraj, Umran Malik, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, and Jaydev Unadkat.

Speaking about these cricketers’ careers, Umran Malik has played eight T20Is and ODIs respectively. In those matches, he has taken 11 and 13 wickets respectively. On the other hand, Umran Malik has played 72 ODIs and 75 T20Is. In those matches, he has taken 121 and 91 wickets respectively. However, both of them will look to perform better under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma against the Aussies.
