Dhanashree Verma makes first appearance amidst divorce rumors from Yuzvendra Chahal

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal are in the spotlight every day. It is no news that the pair reportedly landed in Bandra Court in Mumbai to finalize their divorce proceedings. The couple has apparently been living apart for 18 months and is on the verge of splitting up due to compatibility issues.

In an official statement to Hindustan Times, the cricketer's lawyer stated that a divorce settlement had been struck in a Bandra court in Mumbai. Hours later, Dhanashree was sighted at the Mumbai airport, posing for selfies and interacting with paparazzi.

Dhanashree met Indian cricketer Chahal during the Covid-19 pandemic when he asked her for dancing lessons. The pair married in December 2020 in a modest ceremony in Gurugram. During cricket matches, the choreographer could often be seen cheering on her husband from the stands.

On Saturday, Chahal's lawyer, Nitin K Gupta, confirmed that the divorce had been filed.

"Mr. Chahal reached a settlement for obtaining a divorce by mutual consent with Mrs. Verma. A petition for divorce by mutual consent was presented before the Hon’ble Family Court, Bandra. The matter is currently sub judice,” he told Hindustan Times.

Dhanashree was spotted at Mumbai Airport wearing a black sleeveless top and denim trousers, with her flowy hair left open. She exited her car, hugged a few fans, posed with them, and appeared unconcerned as she approached the airport's departure gate.

It's unclear where the dentist-turned-choreographer went, but Dhanashree appeared calm, composed, and unconcerned with the rumors surrounding her personal life.

When asked how she was, she laughed and kept walking, saying, "Kaam par jaa rahi hoon (I am going to work)."

According to several circulating stories, Dhanashree requested Rs. 60 crore in alimony from Yuzvendra. In a statement, one of her relatives denied the allegations and referred to all of the rumors as unfounded. The unnamed family member emphasized that the actress did not request any alimony money and asked everyone to refrain from spreading misleading information.
