The second season of the Delhi Premier League is all set to begin on August 2. The fans are eagerly waiting for the action to commence as talented cricketers in Delhi will take part in a month-long tournament. The East Delhi Riders crowned the champions last year and they will be itching to defend their title this time around.

A total of 44 matches will take place from August 2 to August 31 and eight teams will fight it out for the glory. The 40 league stage matches will be played from August 2 to August 28 and then the top four teams in the points table will make it to the playoffs.

In the playoffs, the first qualifier and the eliminator is scheduled on August 29 while the second qualifier will be played on August 30. The grand final will take place on August 31 as the second season will be concluded.

Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the entire season after he fractured his foot during the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester. His team will definitely miss him but the likes of Harshit Rana, Ishant Sharma, Nitish Rana and Navdeep Saini who have played for India will certainly light up the tournament.

Moreover the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 stars Digvesh Rathi and Priyansh Arya will also keep the fans interested with their antics with the ball and the bat respectively. Overall, it is expected to be a hard-fought season of cricket in Delhi as all the 44 matches are scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital of India.
