Speaking of this final to the reporters, Pat Cummins said: “We’ve got India in the World Test Championship final first, which I think a lot of people forgot.” Meanwhile, there is still uncertainty about the fitness level of Hazlewood. So, they might go with Scott Boland and the former Aussie skipper, Ricky Ponting also shared his views.

While speaking to the review show of the Apex Council of Cricket,  "Boland's record when he's played over the last 12 months has been absolutely outstanding. He's one that would really, potentially thrive in these English conditions. We’ve seen what he's been able to do in Australia when there has been a bit of assistance off the wicket there and with the ball. So I think he'll get the nod ahead of Neser."

Meanwhile, while speaking to ‘The Sydney Morning Herald’, Boland said: “Over the last two years we’ve played such good cricket and finished on top of the World Test Championship. It’s a big game that could hopefully kick-start a big winter for us. I’ve played seven games and still think I’m going to get better. I’m pretty keen to test my skills in England. It’s somewhere very different. I was lucky enough to play in India. Even though conditions didn’t really suit me, I felt I went alright for the game I played.” Recently, when Australia came to India to play the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy, they lost the series 2-1. But, these pacers had a tough time. Boland failed to take any wickets while Cummins took just three wickets in two matches. Mitchell Starc took just two wickets in three innings.
