Indian pacer, Deepak Chahar tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Jaya Bhardwaj on 1st June 2022. He later shared a picture with his wife on his Instagram handle and wrote down a heart-warming note.

“When I met you the first time I felt that you are the one and I was right. We have enjoyed every moment of our life together and I promise you to keep you always happy like this. One of the best moments of my life. Everyone pls give your blessings to us,” Chahar captioned his post.

In the last edition of the Indian T20 League, Deepak Chahar proposed to his girlfriend, Jaya Bhardwaj inside the stadium after Chennai’s last league stage match against Punjab. He wanted to do it during the playoff stage, however, MS Dhoni advised him to do it before the knockouts only.

Earlier, Deepak Chahar’s brother, Rahul Chahar posted photos on social media handles from the Haldi, Mehendi, and other pre-wedding ceremonies.

Deepak Chahar didn’t participate in the Indian T20 League 2022. He was bought by Chennai for a whopping amount of 14 crores at the mega auction. However, a back injury meant that he was ruled out of Indian T20 League 2022. Chennai missed him dearly during the tournament as they failed to reach the playoffs and second at second from the bottom of the points table.

In his absence, Chennai used the likes of Mukesh Chaudhary and Simranjeet Singh. However, the duo couldn’t make replicate the impact that Deepak Chahar has had, over the years, especially in the power play.

In his international career so far, Deepak Chahar has played 20 T20 internationals and 7 ODIs, picking 26 and 10 wickets respectively. As far as his Indian T20 League is concerned, Deepak Chahar has 59 wickets to his name in 63 matches at an economy of 7.80.
