DC Squad 2026: Full player list after IPL 2026 auction

Delhi Capitals had some work ahead of them when they joined the mini-auction with a purse value of Rs 21.8 crore. In the December 16 bidding war in Abu Dhabi, the team was the first to select a player.

Prior to the auction, the Delhi-based team acquired left-handed hitter Nitish Rana from the Rajasthan Royals. There were eight spots left, five of which could be filled by foreign players. KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav were the team's top run scorers and wicket-takers, respectively, under Axar Patel's leadership.

With little competition, DC acquired South African star David Miller for his base price of Rs 2 crore. Ben Duckett, the England opener, was chosen by the team for Rs 2 crore. DC splurged a hefty price for Jammu and Kashmir all-rounder Auqib Nabi Dar. The 29-year-old has an outstanding T20 record, taking 43 wickets at an economy rate of 7.74 and an average of 21.81 in 34 games.

The starting price for Auqib was Rs 30 lakh. The Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals were fighting it out for the player. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru also entered the contest, but DC emerged victorious.

DC hired Prithvi Shaw in yet another significant decision. On December 16, the right-handed hitter, who went unsold the previous year, was disregarded twice by the teams before DC signed him on the third try for his basic price of Rs 75 lakh. Additionally, the franchise acquired Lungi Ngidi from South Africa and Pathum Nissanka from Sri Lanka. Finally, they added Kyle Jamieson, the final player to be sold at the auction, to their lineup.
