Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 72 yesterday on the 17th of September, Saturday. Renowned personalities of various fields took to Twitter for wishing him a birthday. Along with the wishes from the state heads and various political figures, the sports fraternity was also leading the charge in wishing PM Modi his birthday.

On the same list, senior Australian cricketer David Warner also joined the list and wished the Indian leader on his 72nd birthday. Warner posted an image of Narendra Modi on his Instagram story and wished him. This Instagram story from the Aussie southpaw went viral over social media among cricket fans and especially Indians.

Talking about Warner, then he recently participated in the three-match ODI series between Australia and New Zealand. In this series, he could get a chance to play in two matches out of three. Australia completely outplayed the Kiwis by a margin of 3-0 in the series.

Now, the 35-year-old senior batter will be seen in action in the upcoming three-match T20I series against India commencing on the 20th of September with the first match in Mohali.

Both teams are gearing up their preparations for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022 which will be played in Australia from the 16th of October next month. Notably, the Aussies are the reigning champions of the marquee tournament as they clinched the title last year after defeating New Zealand in the final.

Coming back to PM Modi’s birthday, then the renowned personalities from the sports fraternity wished him on his birthday. This list included the likes of India’s golden girl Mirabai Chanu, former skipper, and senior cricketer Virat Kohli. Later on, former World Champion batter and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir also joined the list alongside the Indian women’s cricket team’s former skipper Mithali Raj.
