Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been a pillar of team India’s batting over recent years. Virat Kohli has also captained the Men in Blue for many years. After that, Rohit Sharma is the current skipper of team India across all three formats. However, Hardik Pandya leads the team only in T20Is in the recent series as senior players have been getting a rest.

So far, Rohit has played 434 matches across all three formats for India. He has scored 16772 runs, including 42 centuries and 91 fifties. On the other hand, Virat Kohli has played 490 matches for India across all three formats. He has scored 24936 runs, including 74 centuries and 129 fifties.

Now, a user shared a statement shared by Pakistan cricketer Sohail Khan over the comparison between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli on Twitter has now gone viral. Sohail Khan said that Virat might be a great batter but the current Indian skipper is even better than him in terms of batting. He also claimed that Rohit Sharma has ruled World Cricket for the last 10-12 years. He said: “Virat Kohli is a great batter, but Rohit Sharma is even better than Kohli. Rohit is technically better, he plays late and has a lot of time. Rohit ruled world cricket for 10-12 years.”  

Speaking of the career of Sohail Khan, he has played nine Tests where he has picked 27 wickets in 17 innings. Then, in 13 ODIs and 5 T20Is, Sohail Khan took 19 wickets and five wickets respectively. After such a statement from the Pakistan pacer, fans came up and started to slam him on social media platforms. However, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be back in action for the Men in Blue against the Aussies in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The series will kick off on 9 February 2023.
