An exciting four-match T20I series is all set to take place between Romania and the Czech Republic. The series will be played across two days, August 21 and 22, at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Ilfov County. Both sides will play two matches on each day.

These two sides have faced each other only three times in T20Is. Romania hold the upper hand with two wins, while the Czech Republic have managed just one victory. At the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground, however, the head-to-head record is even, with both teams having won once each. 

The Czech Republic, though, head into the series with plenty of pressure. Their recent form in T20 cricket has been disappointing. They have lost all of their last five matches and are yet to register a win in 2025 despite playing four games. For them, this series is an opportunity to turn things around and finally open their account for the year.

But a daunting task awaits them because Romania, on the other hand, enter the series with confidence. Since the start of 2025, they have shown consistency in the shortest format, winning four of their eight matches. They lost three and one ended without a result.

More importantly, their home record is a big advantage. Romania have played 24 T20Is at home so far, winning 17 and losing only seven. Hence, they will look to continue that dominance in front of their supporters.
