Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board has cleared its stance on the entire scenario and also informed about the latest developments in the health status of Rishabh Pant.

“Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back,” read the Media release posted by the Indian Cricket Board at their official Twitter handle.

“Rishabh’s condition remains stable, and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment,” the release adds further.

Alongside all the developments in the case, a report in the Times of India understood that the right knee’s ligament tear is the first and foremost concern for the Indian Cricket Board to tackle and handle.

Doctors of Max Hospital have been instructed by the Indian Cricket Board to not do either kind of treatment of torn ligament. The Board came up with instructions because this injury would be treated under the direct surveillance and supervision of the Indian Cricket Board’s official medical team.

The sports injury expert at AIIMS Rishikesh Dr. Qamar Azam has talked with TOI regarding the complete treatment and possibilities of Rishabh Pant’s comeback in international cricket.

“Rishabh Pant will at least take 3-6 months to recover from a ligament injury. It can be even more if it’s severe,” said Dr. Azam to TOI.
