Sunrisers Hyderabad's owner Kaviya Maran was seen cheering her team against KKR and here is how fans reacted to it.

The two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are clashing against the 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, May 4. Both teams are sitting at the bottom of the points table and can’t afford 1 more loss as it may end their IPL 2023 journey.

Meanwhile, SRH owner Kaviya Maran also attended the match and was seen cheering her team in every KKR's wicket taken by SRH bowlers. Kaviya was also spotted many teams earlier in the stadium to lend support for her team. However, there were also some moments where she was seen as disappointed and also got irritated by the cameraman’s constant focus on her during the match.

Talking about KKR’s journey so far in the season, they have only three victories in nine games, and their IPL 2023 campaign is in shambles. They are now in a position where they must win all five of their remaining games in order to have a fair chance of qualifying for the playoffs. On the other hand, SRH are not in a great place either. Even though they have played one fewer game than the Nitish Rana-led team, they also have only six points.

Talking about the match, KKR won the toss and opted to bat first, however, their decision proved wrong as they lost their explosive opener, Rahmanullah Gurbaz on a golden duck in the 2nd over of the match. Left-hander Venkatesh Iyer couldn't produce any heroics as he departed after scoring just 7 runs.

Jason Roy was trying hard to smash the balls and ended up throwing his wicket on just 20 runs. However, skipper Rana and Rinku Singh steadied the ship and helped the team achieve a fighting total of 171 runs. Rana scored 42 runs off 31 balls for KKR, scoring three fours and three sixes in the process. In the meantime, Rinku hit 46 off 35 pitches, including four fours and a six.
