Then, in 2015, the Men in Blue lost the semi-final against the host nation Australia in the ODI World Cup. After that, in 2016, they were looking for a title in the 20-20 World Cup. In 2017, Virat Kohli led team India to the final of the Champions Trophy. But, it was another frustrating day for the team and their fans. Then, in 2019, India again lost to New Zealand in the semi-final. After that, now they have qualified for the WTC final for two consecutive editions.

First, they lost to the Kiwis in 2021. So, now a tweet has gone viral from a fan that reads: “India have entered the Semi-Finals or Final of an ICC men's event 8 out of the last 9 times. “ It seemed that the fans were trying to acknowledge and laud team India’s dominance in recent years. But, some cricket fans came up and said that being consistent has no value if no trophies can be achieved. So, all eyes will be on Rohit Sharma and his men when they will play against Australia in the WTC final. The Men in Blue have been a force to reckon with in the cricket world.
