Virat Kohli is unarguably one of the best batters of the modern era. However, he hasn't really been at his best in the recent past. While he hasn't been awful, the 33-year-old has set his standards so high that people expect his century in every game.

However, he hasn't scored a century in more than two years. The last time he got to a three-figure mark was against Bangladesh in 2019. Thus, several of his fans have been cheering for him to get one for a really long time.

Owing to his large fanbase, he has fans all across the globe. As a matter of fact, several cricketers love him as well. One of them happens to be Saeed Anwar.

The legend took to Twitter to speak about how eagerly he is waiting to see Kohli score a century. It is to be noted that Anwar has scored 31 hundreds himself. Thus, his inner fanboyism for Kohli was clearly seen in this Tweet.

"When a hundred comes out of your bat after a long time, it has a different taste. Come on @imVkohli can't wait anymore, just waiting. #ViratKohli𓃵 ❤" read Saeed Anwar's Tweet. Thus, several fans reacted to it, many started retweeting it as well.

Kohli was last seen during the home series against West Indies. In the four limited-overs games, he could only score one half-century. That being his 30th T20I fifty, which came during the second of the three-match T20I series.

However, the Delhi batter won't be playing the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka. He will now be seen in action during the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. It will be exciting to see how he performs during that series.
