A late blitz from Chris Morris helped Rajasthan Royals stun Delhi Capitals by 3 wickets. The all-rounder played a blinder (36 off 18) to help Rajasthan snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat. Chasing 148, Rajasthan were jolted by early blows as the top four batsmen couldn’t even reach the double figures. Rajasthan were reeling at 36-4 before David Miller single-handedly turned the tides in favour of Rajasthan.

He and Rahul Tewatia added 48 runs for the 6th wicket before Tewatia departed. Miller too followed soon for a blistering 62 of 43 balls. However, with Miller's wicket, the game looked done as dusted but RR’s million-dollar man had other ideas. The South African smashed two sixes of Rabada in the penultimate over to bring the equation down to 12 off the last over. Morris then hit two more sixes of Tom Curran to seal the game for the Royals.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals got off to a miserable start as the two stalwarts of the previous game, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw departed with just 16 runs on the board. Both fell to Jayadev Unadkat, who followed his twin strike with the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane, leaving Delhi tottering at 33-3. When Marcus Stoinis departed for a duck, it seemed that Delhi would struggle to reach the 100 run mark.

However, Rishabh Pant along with Lalit Yadav, who was making his IPL debut, resurrected the innings with a handy 51 run partnership. Pant was looking in ominous form but the southpaw was unfortunately run out for 51. Some vital contributions from Tom Curran(21), Chris Woakes(15) and the tailenders helped Delhi Capitals post a respectable 147-8 in their 20 overs.
