Meanwhile, the reported re-appointment of Chetan Sharma hasn’t gone down well with a section of the Indian Cricket Fans who weren't happy with the performance of the national team during Sharma’s tenure as the chief selector. They immediately took to Twitter to lash out at the Board and subsequently, the fans also came up with a brutal question if they are re-appointing Sharma as Chief selector then what was the actual thing that changed after the 20-20 World Cup 2022?

Here's how fans reacted:

Presently, the men in blue are heading towards the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in which the star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. In this series, the team will also miss the services of former skipper and veteran batter Virat Kohli alongside senior opener and regular vice-captain, KL Rahul.

Following the conclusion of the T20I series against Sri Lanka, the Indians will also play the three-match ODI series against the Islanders which might include senior players including the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul.

The men in blue are also scheduled to lock horns with New Zealand in the three-match T20I series and an ODI series having the same number of matches later at the end of this month.
