Champions Trophy 2025: A look at Pakistan's jersey for the tournament

Pakistan will kick off the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 with a mouth-watering clash against New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19. The Pakistan Cricket Board are hosting the ICC tournament for the first time since they co-hosted the Men’s 1996 World Cup.

After Pakistan’s struggles in the recent ICC tournaments, the home fans will be looking at the upcoming event to revive Pakistan’s stature in international cricket. Pakistan are also the defending champions but very few have tipped them to mount a title challenge in the home tournament.

Pakistan will wear a new jersey for the Champions Trophy 2025. The PCB unveiled the new ODI jersey during the Gaddafi Stadium opening ceremony on February 8. Pakistan cricket fans were well-pleased with the new jersey, which features a different design from their previous colours.

The new jersey has a light green coloured T-shirt and dark green bottom wear. It also adds more green sideways but the major change was the design. A new look shows the colour highlighting and pointing towards the PCB’s logo which also has one golden star embedded above it.

However, Mohammed Rizwan-led Pakistani team wore their previous ODI jersey during the first match of the ongoing tri-series against New Zealand. They will sport the new colours in the Champions Trophy 2025 opener in Karachi.

Meanwhile, even with a home advantage and the tag of the reigning champions, the Men in Green will need a much-needed improvement from all departments if they wish to end their wait for the ICC silverware.

Pakistan lost their opening game against New Zealand in the tri-series and next face South Africa in their potential final preparation game before the start of the highly-anticipated tournament.

The hosts will be without their in-form star Saim Ayub for the Champions Trophy tournament but the return of the veteran opener Fakhar Zaman boosts their batting attack significantly. Fakhar smashed 84 off 69 against the Kiwis last week but Pakistan fell 78 runs short while chasing a 331-run target.
