All eyes were on team India when they took on Australia on day five of the Ahmedabad Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia began the day with a trail of 88 runs with all 10 wickets in hand. Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli’s innings gave a lead of 91 runs to the Men in Blue in their first innings.

Both Travis Head and Matthew Kuhnemann came out to open the innings. But, India got the wicket of Kuhnemann after scoring six runs. Then, Marnus Labuschagne came out to bat along with Travis Head. Indian bowlers toiled hard to get quick wickets but they managed to take only two wickets.

After 78.1 overs, both Steve Smith and Rohit Sharma mutually decided to stop the game and the match ended as a draw. For India, both Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel took one wicket each. On the other hand, both Head and Labuschagne scored a fifty each in Australia’s second innings. But, an interesting thing happened during that innings as both Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara bowled. They rolled their arms for 1.1 and 1 over respectively. Both also conceded one run each.

Seeing those star batters bowling, fans went crazy and shared some funny tweets and memes over social media platforms. Speaking about them, Gill scored 154 runs in three innings of this series while Pujara scored 140 runs in six innings. The young batter showed his importance at the top as team India considered him by dropping KL Rahul for the final two Test. With this draw, India won the BGT for the fourth consecutive time. They even got qualified for the final of the WTC final as Sri Lanka suffered a two-wicket loss in Christchurch against the Kiwis. Virat Kohli won the player of the match award for scoring 186 runs off 364 balls.
