The Bangladesh Premier League is a Twenty20 league established in Bangladesh. The BPL involves seven distinct franchises. This league began in 2012 when the majority of cricket boards wanted to hold T20 competitions similar to the IPL in their own countries.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL 2025) teams include Comilla Victorians, Chittagong Kings, Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Durbar Rajshahi, Rangpur Riders, and Sylhet Strikers.

The Bangladesh Premier League was canceled in 2014 because of the country's political instability, and then for two years in 2020 and 2021 owing to COVID-19-related limitations. The Comilla Victorians and Dhaka are the two most successful franchises in the tournament.

The BPL has consistently produced thrilling cricket, with teams like Dhaka Dynamites, Rangpur Riders, and Comilla Victorians making their mark over the years. Comilla Victorians have won the BPL the most times: 4. Dhaka Dynamites, Rangpur Riders, and Rajshahi Royals have also won the BPL once.

Dhaka franchises have won the tournament thrice. Fortune Barishal was the last winner of the BPL in 2024 and has made it into the finals of 2025 as well. They will face Dhaka Kings in the final on February 6 to crown.
