‘Bilkul hi paisa barbaad kar diya’ - Fans troll Harry Brook and Cameron Green for getting out cheaply in their respective ITL 2023 Openers

Here is how fans have reacted to the failure of Harry Brook and the Aussie all-rounder in their first match in the ITL 2023

On 2 March 2023, two Indian T20 League matches took place. First, Hyderabad locked horns with Rajasthan while Bangalore locked horns with Mumbai. So, all eyes were on some new players like Harry Brook and Cameron Green as they were set to make their debut for their respective teams.

In the mini-auction, the Hyderabad franchise bought Harry Brook for INR 13.25 Cr while the Mumbai franchise spent 17.50 Cr on Cameron Green. Seeing those staggering amounts, fans went crazy and hence, they were hoping to see them performing well in their first matches. But, both of them failed miserably.

Harry Brook scored 13 runs while Cameron Green scored only five runs 

In the first match between Rajasthan and Hyderabad, Harry Brook scored only 13 runs off 21 balls, including one four. But, it was his strike rate that left everyone disappointed. He batted at a strike rate of 61.90. Generally, he has shown his six-hitting abilities all around the globe for his national team and other franchises. So, it was quite surprising to see him struggling to bat in his first match in the Indian T20 League. Speaking of the match, Rajasthan batted first and scored 203 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Hyderabad scored only 131 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs.

Hence, they suffered a 72-run loss at their home ground. On the other hand, Mumbai got the opportunity to bat first in Bangalore after Du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first. The franchise sent Green as the number three instead of Suryakumar Yadav. But, he failed to deliver as Cameron Green got out for just five runs off four balls, including one four. So, fans were not happy seeing failures from both those players as the franchises showed faith in them by spending so much amount in the auction. They came up and shared some funny tweets to troll them brutally on social media platforms.
