Match four of the Big Bash League will see Hobart Hurricanes locking horns with Sydney Sixers. The Hurricanes will finally get their campaign going. The team finished fourth last season with six wins and seven losses. They tapered off during the business end of the tournament and lost momentum when it mattered the most. They lost to Perth Scorchers in the Eliminator to bow out. Their campaign was also dented by the injuries to key players.

This season, the Hurricanes have brought quite a new players but have managed to keep the core of the squad intact. D’ Arcy Short, Matthew Wade, Ben McDermott, and Riley Meredith are the key players who will look to do well. Wade is in a rich vein of form in T20I this year. The southpaw’s blitz in the semifinal against Pakistan was one of the best innings in the 20-20 World Cup. The seasoned campaigner will look to continue with the same momentum. 

The task for Hurricanes won’t be easy though as Sydney Sixers are a tough nut to crack. They got their BBL campaign off to a thrilling start, with a thumping 152 runs win over Melbourne Stars. Wicketkeeper batter Josh Philippe starred in the victory and stroked 83 runs off 47 balls to help the Sixers reach 213.

Later, the bowling, led by Steve Okeefe bundled out the Stars for 61. Sixers batting looks brutal with the likes of James Vince, Moises Henriques, Daniel Christian at their disposal. It's a match between two batting heavy teams and one can expect a high scoring thriller.
