Cameron Green smashed his maiden Test ton

Talking about the match, the Australian batters Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green continued from where they left on the first day and stitched a 208-run stand for the fifth wicket. Khawaja smashed his century on Day 1 while Green also achieved the milestone for the first time in the longest format.

Khwaja played an outstanding inning of 180 runs and faced 422 deliveries which included 21 fours. While Green scored 114 runs off 170 balls and smashed 18 fours during his knock. However, Indian veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin brought the Indian team back into the game as he started taking wickets at regular intervals of time.

However, tailenders Nathan Lyon and Todd Murphy also batted brilliantly on the flat Ahmedabad pitch and both stitched a 70-run stand for the 9th wicket and once again it was Ashwin who got rid of the frustrating partnership.

The right-handed spinner took another fifer in the series and also became the second-highest wicket-taker in the list of most wickets in India vs Australia Tests, standing just behind Nathan Lyon with a difference of only 1 wicket. India need to win the final match of the series in order to qualify for the Test championship final.
