Virat Kohli made his debut in the year 2008 against Sri Lanka on August 18 and it has been 14 years since the veteran's debut match for India. The Delhi-born has been through a slump and also through the peak in the 14-year-long journey but there was one person who backed him when he had a bad phase in the year 2014 during the England tour.

Former India captain MS Dhoni did not shy away from defending the batter who was rising to the top at that time and said that Virat Kohli will become a legend at some point in time. He even went on to add that the team under Virat Kohli will win more matches than him and lauded the then youngster who was making a mark with his stupendous batting at that time.

The batter never gave up and roared back in the year 2018 England tour as the skipper of the Indian team albeit the team failed to gain momentum to win as they faced a humiliating series loss against the hosts. The Dhoni-Kohli partnership has always worked for team India and the duo have joined hands together a lot of times to seal a win for India when they played together. The duo is often addressed as 'Mahirat'.

Ahead of the Asia Cup 2022, the Bangalore batter has once again come up with a tweet praising the former Indian skipper and saying that it would always remain a special bond for him. The 33-year-old further added that he cherished every single moment with the Ranchi hero and this post has made his fans go puzzled and crazy.
