Speaking to the reporters after the marquee clash, Shukla stated it is a huge achievement for the Indian team to win by a huge margin against their arch-rivals. He went on to add that the Men in Blue will go on to win the World Cup as well.

"Winning against Pakistan by such a huge margin, I think it is a huge achievement, and today I am fully confident that the way our boys played, we will win the World Cup as well. Sometimes Ishan Kishan performs, sometimes Abhishek performs, and all the boys perform. So we have such a strong team that we will definitely win the World Cup," Rajeev Shukla told the reporters after the match.

Shifting our focus to the details of the game, India was tasked to bat first after losing the toss. Despite losing the toss, the Indian batters, led by Ishan Kishan, posted a good-looking total of 175/7 in 20 overs.

Opening batter Kishan was the wrecker-in-chief, scoring 77 runs off 40 balls with 10 fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 192.5 on a tricky wicket. Saim Ayub was the top bowler for Pakistan, scalping three wickets.

In response, Pakistan staged a major collapse right from the initial overs, getting bundled out for 114 runs in 18 overs. Usman Khan was the top scorer with 44 runs in 34 balls. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy scalped two wickets apiece.

With this victory, India qualified for the Super 8 stage, having topped the Group A standings. Pakistan slipped to the third spot, with the USA securing the second position with four points apiece.
