BCCI releases Kuldeep Yadav from India squad for last two T20Is vs Australia

On Sunday, November 2, the Indian team management requested to release the wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav from the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia to allow him to participate in the ongoing India A four-day series against South Africa A in Bengaluru.

Notably, the BCCI was quick to accept the request, and Kuldeep is all set to play the second four-day game against South Africa A, starting on Thursday, November 6, at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru.

“The decision has been taken to provide Kuldeep with red-ball game time in preparation for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa,” the BCCI official statement read.

However, there is no replacement announced in the Indian team for the fourth and fifth T20Is against Australia Down Under. With Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar already part of the squad, the Indian team will not include any other replacement. 

For the unversed, Team India levelled the series 1-1 with two more games to go in the five-match series. On Sunday, November 2, India defeated Australia by five wickets to level the series.

On the other hand, India A defeated South Africa A by three wickets in the first four-day game. Captain Rishabh Pant played a crucial 90-run knock in the fourth innings off 113 balls with 11 fours and four sixes.
