BCCI likely to reward India Women with INR 125 Crore if they win the WC 2025 final

In September 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a record-breaking prize money for the winners of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. Interestingly, the tournament’s total prize pool is USD 13.88 million (Around INR 123 Crore).

The winner of the mega event will receive a whopping USD 4.48 million (INR 39.78 Crore). On Sunday, November 2, India will lock horns with South Africa in the grand finale of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 in Navi Mumbai.

While India is playing in the final for the third time, South Africa has reached the grand finale for the first time in the tournament’s history. The runners-up of the event will receive USD 2.24 million. (INR 19.88 Crore). 

Meanwhile, a report published on PTI stated that following the equal pay policy adopted by the former BCCI secretary and now ICC Chairman, Jay Shah, the Indian cricket board is now aiming to reward the women’s team with the same amount that was given to the Indian men’s team that won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados. 

According to the report, the Indian women’s players and support staff are likely to receive a whopping additional INR 125 Crore if they go on to win the silverware after defeating the South Africa Women’s team in the grand finale. 

"The BCCI supports equal pay for men and women and hence there are lot of discussions that if our girls win the World Cup, the reward won't be anything less compared to the men's global triumph. But it isn't nice to make an announcement before they win the Cup," a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.

While South Africa Women defeated England Women in the first semi-final, India Women stunned Australia Women in the second semi-final to advance to the grand finale.
