On Saturday, January 17, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian women’s white-ball squads for the forthcoming Australia tour, scheduled to start on Sunday, February 15, at Sydney Cricket Ground.

India will play three T20Is and as many ODIs Down Under. After the three-match T20I series, both sides will take on each other in the three-match ODI series and a one-off Test in Perth. The Test squad will be picked later.

Moving into the details of the white-ball squads, Bharti Fulmali and Shreyanka Patil have been recalled to the T20I squad, while left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma earned her maiden ODI call-up.

Fulmali has been in good form for the Gujarat Giants in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL 2026) season. On the other hand, Shreyanka Patil claimed her maiden WPL five-wicket haul for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against the Giants on Friday.

Left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma, who made her international debut against Sri Lanka in December, got her maiden ODI call-up, along with retaining her place in the T20I squad. Also, pacer Kashvee Gautam earned a call-up in the ODI squad. 

However, all-rounder Radha Yadav, who has been in fine form in WPL 2026, hasn’t been named in both squads. G Kamalini has been picked as the backup keeper, with Richa Ghosh picked as the primary keeper.
