The addition of Shaun Marsh has strengthened the batting. Marsh scored a vital 57 and led Renegades to a win over Brisbane Heat. It has also allowed Aaron Finch to play with freedom at the top. Meanwhile, in the bowling skipper, Kane Richardson has found his mojo back.

On the other hand, the Sydney Thunder are on a three-match winning streak. They defeated Adelaide Strikers twice and also managed to beat table-toppers Perth Scorchers by six wickets.

All-rounder Jason Sangha, Matthew Gilkes, and Gurinder Sandhu have stepped up in the past few games. Gilkes and Sangha have relieved some pressure of Sam Billings in the batting lineup. Sandhu, on the other hand, has formed a deadly combination with Daniel Sams and Saqib Mahmood.
