Indian T20 League is undoubtedly one of the biggest franchises T20 Leagues in the cricketing World. The 15 seasons have been played so far in the tournament and the 16th tournament is in the month of April and May later this year in 2023. With every season, the organizers of the tournament have come up with a lot of changes to make the tournament more impressive.

The consistent efforts to enhance the tournament of the Indian Cricket Board have increased its popularity to a wider extent. There are a few more changes likely to happen in the upcoming 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League. One of the major changes is the broadcast of the tournament in 11 different languages including Punjabi and Bhojpuri.

Following this announcement from the authorities of the tournament gave an opportunity for fans to come up with different reactions. Subsequently, the fans also shared some hilarious tweets while speculating the names for the Bhojpuri commentary.

Talking about the telecast of the tournament, the Indian T20 League has two broadcasters for both Television and Digital. It is happening for the first time since the inception of the tournament almost 15 years back in the year 2008. Star Sports, which is owned by Disney will have the TV  rights for the 16th season of the tournament.

Whereas, on the other hand, Mukesh Ambani-owned Viacom 18 will have the online rights to the tournament. To enjoy the Indian T20 League matches, the fans will have to move on to Jio Cinema’s app and its website. Notably, this digital platform is owned by Viacom18 only which is set to broadcast the tournament completely for free.

Earlier on the 23rd of December 2022, the mini-auction for the 16th edition of the tournament was done and dusted in Kochi where 405 players went under the hammer. The young England all-rounder Sam Curran was picked by Punjab for a massive amount of INR 18.50 crores. He also became the most expensive player in the history of the tournament so far.
