On 19 May 2023, Rajasthan Royals (RR) were in action against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the ongoing IPL. RR managed a win and finished the group stage with 14 points. So, now they will look for some other results to go in their favour. Both Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) can reach 16 points with a win in their respective last games.

Hence, if they lost their matches, all three teams will finish with 14 points and then, on the basis of the net run rate, one team will qualify for the playoffs. So, now after the clash, Riyan Parag came up with a tweet, pleading for help from GT and SRH for further qualification. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views.

Speaking of the tweet, Parag wrote: “GT and SRH please help us out a little now #RRvsPBKS.” However, it has been another disappointing IPL season for this RR youngster. He played seven matches and scored 78 runs with an average of 13. Speaking of the last game against PBKS, he scored 20 runs off 12 balls, including one four and two sixes during the successful chase of 188 runs. Devdutt Padikkal won the Player of the Match award for scoring 51 runs off 30 balls, including five fours and three sixes.

After the win, RR skipper Sanju Samson opened up about the overall net run rate scenario. He said: “At the end of the game Hettie was going well and we felt 18.5 was when we wanted to get it. With the team which we have, it's a bit shocking to see where we stand on the table. If we look back, we have a lot of things to discuss and look at it. He bats at this young age as if he has played a 100 T20s. Yes, every match!"
