The Netherlands and Bangladesh will play a three-match Twenty20 International series, with Bangladesh hosting the Netherlands for the first time in a bilateral series. All three of the series' games are scheduled to take place in Sylhet, and the series will start on August 30.

The Netherlands will arrive in Bangladesh on August 26 and will have three training days before the series begins. The SICS in Sylhet will host the first Twenty20 International on August 30. The second and third matches are set for September 1 and 3, respectively.

Bangladesh will use the series as vital preparation for the Asia Cup, which starts on September 9. The Netherlands, on the other hand, has only played in Bangladesh once, at the 2014 T20 World Cup. In their five T20I matches against one another, Bangladesh has won four of them. The Netherlands hosted Bangladesh for a two-match T20I series in 2012, which was their only bilateral meeting before the tour.

For the Dutch team, the series provides a perfect opportunity to get ready for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka. The Netherlands will be keen to adjust their team lineups before the international competition after securing their World Cup spot by winning the European Regional Final earlier this year.

Although the Netherlands has already revealed their team for this series against Bangladesh, with Scott Edwards leading the team once more, Bangladesh has not yet revealed their team for the same.

The series' airing rights have been acquired by T Sports, Bangladesh's sole sports-focused station. Fans will be able to watch every match live on T Sports TV and watch them online via the T Sports website and mobile app in Bangladesh.
