However, the home side was dealt with a blow in the morning session on the fourth day when the debutant Yasir Ali walked off after being hit on the helmet off Shaheen Afridi. The left-arm pacer bowled a bouncer which the batter tried to duck but the ball didn't bounce much and was hit hard on the helmet.

He soon walked off the field and later during the Drinks Break, was ruled out of the match due to concussion. According to ICC's rules, Nurul Hasan was named the concussion substitute for the rest of the match. Yasir Ali was batting really well in the middle on 36 off 72 balls before he had to walk off. He, along with Liton Das, was rebuilding the innings for Bangladesh.

As far as the match is concerned, Bangladesh posted 330 runs batting first thanks to a stunning century from Liton Das. Pakistan were led by Abid Ali's 133-run knock. But rest of the batters didn't put up a great show only to concede a 44-run lead to the hosts.

Shaheen Afridi wreaked havoc in the second innings as Bangladesh were left reeling at 43/5 at one stage. But by lunch on Day 4, they had recovered to a certain extent at 115/6 with a total lead of 159 runs. Any target over 200 will make up for an interesting fourth innings chase and Liton will be key for the home team.
