Australia World Cup 2023 Schedule, Time, Fixtures, Venue

The full schedule of the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup got announced on 27 June 2023 by the Apex Council of Cricket and the Indian Cricket Board. The tournament is all set to happen from 5 October to 19 November. Australia are the most successful team in the world as they have won the ODI World Cup the most number of times (five).

In 2021, they won the 20-20 World Cup and recently, they won the World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2023. So, Pat Cummins and his men will look to win another major trophy that year. According to the World Cup schedule, the Aussies will face India in their first game on 8 October in Chennai. 

Then, they will travel to Lucknow to face South Africa and a qualifier team on 13 and 16 October respectively. After that, the five-time champion will face Pakistan on 20 October in Bengaluru. On 25 October, they will lock horns with another qualifier team in Delhi. Then, in Dharamsala, the Aussies will take on New Zealand on 28 October. 

On 4 November, Australia will play against the defending World Cup champion, England in Ahmedabad. After that, they will face Afghanistan in Mumbai on 7 November and their last league game is on 12 November when they will face Bangladesh in Kolkata. The Aussies will play all of their matches across eight venues. Notably, all of their's matches will kick off at 2:00 PM IST (Day/Night) apart from the game against the Kiwis and Bangla Tigers. Those two games will begin at 10.30 AM IST.
