On Friday, October 24, Cricket Australia confirmed that the star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will make a return in the upcoming T20I series against India for the last three games. Notably, he is coming back from a fractured wrist.

On the other hand, pacer Ben Dwarshuis will return for the last two T20Is while keeper-batter Josh Philippe has been included for all five T20Is. Meanwhile, Western Australia's young pacer Mahli Beardman will be a part of the squad for the last three games of the T20I series.

Delving into the details about the exclusions from the T20I squad, Josh Hazlewood will return to the Sheffield Shield after the second T20I, while Sean Abbott will leave the T20I squad after the third game of the five-match series.

Speaking about the ODI squad, Marnus Labuschagne will leave the squad to take part in the Sheffield Shield campaign. Jack Edwards and Matthew Kunhemann have been included in the squad for the last game of the series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Moreover, keeper-batter Josh Inglis will also join the squad for the final ODI in Sydney.

For the unversed, Mahli Beardman is the lone surprising inclusion in the T20I squad for the last three games of the five-match series. The 20-year-old pacer has played only five List A games and a few BBL games. He has pocketed five wickets in two One-Day Cup games for Western Australia this summer.

With Pat Cummins still recovering from a back issue, and all-rounder Cameron Green still on the comeback trail, Sean Abbott will be in contention, along with Michael Neser and Brendan Doggett, for the Ashes campaign.
