Former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli is one of the top sportspersons in terms of most fan following across social media. A lot of cricketers don't even come close to him. In fact, Kohli is competing with film stars, musicians, WWE wrestlers, and many more. Meanwhile, in a list released by Hype Auditor, the former skipper is ranked seventh overall.
In the sportsperson category, the 2008 U19 World Cup-winning skipper is ranked third. Only the likes of Portugal football player, Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina skipper Lionel Messi are ahead of him. Talking about the list, the website released a list of the top 1000 influential people on Instagram. The likes of Ronaldo and Messi top the list while some art and cinema celebs are ahead of Kohli.

Virat Kohli hit only one six while Shubman Gill hit one: Tom Moody
Meanwhile, Kohli's RCB lost their must-win game against Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2023. The Delhi-born scored his second consecutive hundred and helped his side reach 197/5. However, this wasn't enough as Shubman Gill, via his second consecutive hundred, helped his team chase down the target in just 19.1 overs.
After this, former Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach, Tom Moody analysed both Kohli and Gill's innings. The former Australia pacer pointed out that Kohli hit only one six while Gill hit eight.
โHe is such a delight to watch. He is so composed at the crease. You look at his facial expression and his body language, he looks so much in control. He has got the game. Eight sixes! That was the difference in the two hundreds. Both were brilliant hundreds. But Kohli only hit one six. Gill hit eight of them and was batting at a strike rate of 200. That's a significant difference. And that coming in a chase, hats off to him,โ he said.
